Last week Susan demonstrated how to add the splashing water under the horses. It is getting closer to a finished painting.

Using a new paintbrush called the dagger, I was shown by Susan how to add the tail and mane to my horses. This is my first experience using this type paintbrush and it is amazing...
Ok. The 3rd horse is in, now it's time to start working on the tail and mane. Hopefully my instructor will be able to show me the way... Keep watching for next weeks changes...

The second horse has been completed except for the main which will be added when all three horses are finished. This style of painting is very exciting to me.
Retired and living in Dorris, California since August 2007. Now I have time to expand my love of painting. After years of working for others in the corporate world I can finally explore my passion of painting and photography. I have taken photographs of images since I was a child when my parents gave me a brownie camera for my birthday. Now I am able to translate these images on to canvas in a new perspective using oil paints. I hope that you will enjoy following me as I blossom in my ability to stimulate the eye using vibrant colors that compliment the subject.
